Inter and Italian national team defender Alessandro Bastoni has been placed under investigation by the Milan Prosecutor's Office on suspicion of the criminal offense of prostitution with minors.

According to Italian media, Bastoni received the official notification of the investigation on Tuesday and is expected to be questioned in the coming days. His name has emerged as part of the investigation into an escort agency based in Cinisello Balsamo, which is suspected of organizing parties and luxurious evenings for VIP clients, including footballers.

The suspicion against Bastoni is related to an alleged meeting with a girl who was 17 years old at the time of the incident. However, the matter still remains unclear, as the girl herself, questioned as a witness, has stated that there was no sexual intercourse between them. Despite this, according to the investigative file, there are conversations and communications that document the contact between them, mediated by an associate of the agency.

In the same case, Italian authorities have also summoned footballers Daniel Maldini, Riccardo Calafiori and Kevin Bonifazi to give evidence. They are not under investigation and have only been called as witnesses.

The investigation aims to shed light on the functioning of the escort network, identifying the organizers, the people who recruited the girls and those who took care of their transportation. According to the indictment, the main activity of this network was organizing parties for VIP clients in the most exclusive venues in Milan, where the packages included dinner, a nightclub and, for clients who requested it, a hotel stay with sexual services and the use of laughing gas.
