The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausna, Switzerland, has made zero decisions made by the ALBANIAN Football Federation against the Albanian Football Federation.

Cas itself announced the news through a press release, in which it also gives the main points of its decision.

It was the Albanian Football Federation, which has led to the conflicts and disputes with the Albanian National Olympic Committee for trial at the Court of Sports Arbitration based in Laussene, Switzerland.

CAS made the decisions taken by KOKSH in 2021, including the dismissal of Viron Bezhani and the appointment of Fidel Ylli instead.

Statement to the Court of Arbitration for Sport:

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has ruled in favour of the Albanian Football Federation (AFF), overturning the decisions taken during the Extraordinary Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Albania (KOKSH) held on 10 January 2021.

Key Points of Decision:

1. Decisions of the Assembly of THE KOKSH are declared invalid: CAS has declared invalid the decisions taken in the Extraordinary Assembly of THE KOKSH, which had adopted the new statute, This includes changes to the STATUTE of THE COCE the dismissal of the President and the election of new members of the verification commission.

2. Procedural irregularities: CAS found that THE COC did not properly notify the AFF to the assembly and allowed the participation and voting of persons who were not members. These actions violated the established procedures and rights of the AFF as a member federation.

3. Protection of ASHF rights: By overturning the decisions of the assembly, CAS has established in place the rights of the AFF to participate and to be regularly notified to the assemblies of THE COS, ensuring fair representation and decision-making.

4. Financial Reimbursement: KOKSH is ordered to pay CHF 4,000 for the legal expenses of the AFF and cover 90% of the costs of the arbitration, reflecting the gravity of procedural violations.

AFF is satisfied with the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which corrects the fundamental problems of the MEMBERSHIP of THECT. This decision is an important step towards preserving integrity and justice in the governance of sport in Albania and highlights the fact that as a consequence, all assemblies of THE KOKSH held after January 10, 2021 are absolutely invalid.
