Coach Carlo Ancelotti has spoken for the first time since the official announcement of his departure from Real Madrid.

The Italian coach spoke highly of the Madrid team, saying that a beautiful period is coming to an end.

Ancelotti said he regrets nothing, adding that the 11 trophies won speak for themselves about this adventure.

"Football, like life, is an adventure that begins and ends. When I arrived here, I knew that one day it would end. A beautiful period is coming to an end. I had a good time and I think people had a good time.

The day I arrived here, if they had told me I would win 11 trophies, I would have signed immediately. I don't regret anything. I had a fantastic time and I want to spend the days I have left here in the same way. I gave everything I had and the titles speak for themselves.

I never felt that Real Madrid didn't love me. It was time for a change. I accept it calmly. It was a mutual decision.

A thousand thanks to this club and I will remain a Real Madrid fan for life. I never thought I could coach Real Madrid for six years.

"We had a great time, not everything went perfectly, but there are some moments that I will never forget and I know that the fans will not forget them either," said Ancelotti, before the match with Mallorca.

The Italian coach will begin a new adventure on May 26th, this time on the bench of the Brazilian national team.
