Ousmane Dembele, the winner of the 2025 Ballon d'Or, has always kept his private life away from the media.

He was born on May 15, 1997 in Vernon, France, to a mother of Mauritanian and Senegalese origin, and a father from Mali.

His parents separated when he was young, and he inherited a multicultural identity and the Islamic religion.

He spent his childhood in Evreux, playing street football, a passion that he turned into a professional career, first at Rennes, then at Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and PSG.

He has been married since December 2021 to Rima Edbouche, a French influencer of Moroccan origin.

The marriage took place in Morocco with Muslim rituals.

The couple has kept a low public profile. Rima has a Muslim fashion brand called Razalae, and respects her privacy, not showing her face on social media.

In 2022, Dembele and Rima became parents to a daughter, whom they named "Catalana" because of her birthplace.

The couple maintains their privacy, avoiding media exposure.
