Enkileda Carja made an outstanding performance at the World Championships, winning three gold medals for the U-17 age group.

But, even though these are historic results, the talented weightlifter cannot enter the awards zone for her 3 world gold medals.

It seems absurd, but in fact the Council of Ministers' Decision on athlete awards does not provide for awards for the first category of youth, but only for young people, depending on the categorization that each federation has.

Here is what the VKM specifically says about the criteria for rewarding athletes when it comes to competitions that are not for adults.

"Athletes of individual sports, in the 'youth' category, who achieve results in national activities, according to table 1 (the table that provides the award area), are rewarded at the rate of 30% of the value determined for the 'adult' category," the VKM states.

However, even though Carja 's historic U-17 medals remain without financial reward, the athlete has entered the awards zone with the results achieved at the U-20 World Cup, i.e. for young women.

For the bronze medal in the clean and jerk, as well as for fifth places in the clean and jerk and jerk, Enkileda Carja will benefit from the Albanian state in total 15.9 million old lek .

Meanwhile, Ertjan Kofsha has also reached the awards zone in the U-20 competitions, i.e. for young people.

For the two fourth places in the snatch and clean and jerk, as well as for the fifth place in the doubles, Kofsha will receive a total of 12.9 million old.

Just like Enkileda Carje, unfortunately, Antonino Mullisi, due to the lack of a VKM, remains without financial reward for a fourth and two fifth places in the U-17 World Championship.

However, beyond the role of the Council of Ministers, the state, the Olympic Committee, and the Albanian Weightlifting Federation must invest in these talented young people, who are the great future of Albanian weightlifting.
