2 protesters have been arrested and 23 are under investigation following protests that took place in Korça on Thursday. The arrested are 21 and 19 years old, while among those being investigated, there are 15 minors.

 Masked participants threw stones, plates, and metal objects, damaging the Korça Municipality, the Education Directorate, the "Fan. S. Noli" University, and the "Raqi Qirinxhi" High School, as well as sidewalk railings, advertising signs, and road signs.        

 Police announcement:

Korça/They opposed the police officers, destroyed the buildings of state institutions and public property with hard objects and fire, during yesterday's rally, 2 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, 23 others are being criminally prosecuted.  

During the rally held yesterday in the city of Korça, dozens of participants, some of them masked, committed acts of violence, throwing stones, stone slabs and hard metal objects towards state institutions and public properties.    

As a result of these illegal actions, the buildings of the Korça Municipality, the Education Directorate, the "Fan. S. Noli" University and the "Raqi Qirinxhi" High School were damaged, as well as sidewalk railings, advertising signs and road signs.        

Throughout the rally, police officers on duty were confronted with acts of violence and opposition, through the throwing of stones and hard objects by groups of masked participants.  

Following the investigative and procedural actions carried out under the direction of the Korça Prosecutor's Office, citizens FL, 21 years old, resident of Voskop, and OK, 19 years old, resident of Bilisht, were arrested in flagrante delicto, and 23 citizens (15 of them minors) were criminally prosecuted.  

The investigative group, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work on the complete legal documentation of the illegal actions committed during the rally on 15.10.2026 and on the identification of other citizens involved in acts of violence against police officers, state institutions and private entities, during this date.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action.
