Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula delivered a harsh and self-critical speech at the plenary session of the Parliament, where he did not spare even his opposition colleagues.

He declared that Parliament has turned into a theater, where actors play positive and negative roles. According to him, opposition MPs are agreeing to be "salaried" for the next four years.

" I feel happy that I will not be part of a theater for the next four years, of this hall that has been transformed into a stage with two actors: those who play the positive roles and the opposition who plays the negative roles ," said Sula.

He added that the opposition is disappointing and has been forgotten by citizens due to a lack of credibility and internal discord.

He emphasized that after 30 years in politics, this is the speech he would not want to give, especially considering the situation the Democratic Party is in. He emphasized that he will not blame Edi Rama this time, but the opposition itself for the defeat in the 2025 elections.

" I will not talk about Edi Rama, nor about the manipulations of the 2017, 2021 or 2025 elections, not because they did not happen, but because we ourselves have failed to be a credible alternative. We lost the elections because of ourselves, and this is the truth that we must say loudly within the DP ," he declared.

There was also a call for Sali Berisha to step down and pave the way for the salvation of the DP: " I would appeal to him here from the Assembly, if you still feel sorry for this creature that you built yourself, step down and leave the free and equal competition. Trust in the Democrats, not like you did in 2013 when you gave your son away and destroyed the political career of Sokol Olldashi. It is time for you to enjoy with your family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren this energy that God has given you and paved the way for the salvation of the DP."

The actors of negative roles are from the opposition, who are happy that they will receive a salary for four years and that the citizens have forgotten about them.

After 30 years of commitment, this is the speech I would not want to give in this hall, even less when I see the DP in the state it is in today.

Today, for the first time, I will not talk about Edi Rama, I will not talk about the manipulations of the 2017, 2021, 2025 elections, not because they do not exist, but I do not want to do what they have done for 4 years in a row, to blame others for everything that happens to us within the DP. The truth is this, the opposition has lost the elections because of itself first and foremost. This is the truth that we must accept loudly within the DP. Not because Edi Rama is honest, but because we failed to convince the citizens that we were a credible alternative. Today, the DP is in the weakest representation in its history, only 50 deputies in parliament who are happy to be salaried employees in the next 4 years. After 3 consecutive mandates of the SP, our political stance should have been stronger, more organized. But we lost even more deeply. Why did this happen? It's not enough to say Rama bought our votes, it's not enough to say they manipulated our votes. Because we lost over 250 thousand votes compared to 2021. Rama didn't give us these, we did it ourselves.
