Yuri Kim, message to Berisha: We will meet the leaders who were elected legally

The Ambassador of the United States of America in Tirana, Yuri Kim, today held a meeting with the speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla.

After the meeting with Nikola, the ambassador spoke to the media where she made it clear that she will hold meetings only with leaders who have been legitimately elected and who have an important role in the fight against corruption.

In this way, Yuri Kim has sent a message to the opposition, which is divided between the group that supports Enkelejd Alibeaj and the one that supports Sali Berisha.

" It is important to engage in ways that emphasize the importance of laws and keeping rules, as well as strengthening democratic institutions. That's why I was here. We will continue to meet with leaders who are legitimately elected and have a legitimate role to play in the fight against corruption ", said Yuri Kim after the meeting he held in the Presidency of the Assembly with Nikola.
