Prime Minister Edi Rama has explained the reason why he was not in Davos today to sign the accession agreement to the Peace Board, an initiative undertaken by President Donald Trump.

In response to the interest of opposition MPs, Rama stated that he had to make a choice between inviting Trump or hosting his daughter Ivanka Trump in Albania.

The head of government stated that with Donald Trump's permission, he decided to wait for his daughter.

Rama : So that you don't worry about why I'm not there, I had to make a choice between responding to my father's invitation, or welcoming my daughter to Albania, and I chose the daughter. Of course, I chose the daughter with my father's permission. Since Mr. Mediu is the bridge that connects America to the path of hope, I expected Mediu to reject Britain's claim and side with America, but we see no reason to see such divergences .
