Taulant Balla is from today the new Minister of the Interior, after the dismissal of Bledi Çuçi.

At the end of today's plenary session, the Assembly voted the decree for the dismissal of Çuç with 84 votes, 3 against and 3 abstentions.

While Balla's appointment to this post was approved with 75 votes in favor, 16 against, 1 abstention.

Prime Minister Edi Rama's vote was absent, as the Prime Minister was not present during the entire session held today amid tensions.

We remind you that tomorrow at 10:00 the Assembly will meet to vote on the removal of the immunity of Arben Ahmetaj and to vote on the draft law on the legalization of cannabis.
