The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has unveiled the "2025-2029 Government Program for Education and Science." During his speech, the leader of the Democrats emphasized that within the framework of this program, they will double the budget for education.

While promising that if they come to power they will transform the education system, Berisha said that they will double teachers' salaries and halve tuition fees. The chief democrat spoke in figures and said that the minimum salary of a teacher will go to 2 thousand euros.

Dictatorships were afraid of higher education, and used it as a privilege. Free countries saw it as a possibility, as an opportunity for all those who wanted to be educated. They imposed restrictions, they imposed the average as a veil, excluding absolutely 95% of all children from the northeastern-southeastern areas of the country, because their high schools were far from the high schools of Tirana and the cities, in many aspects.

We will transform Albania into a model for educational transformation. This requires investments, but we are determined to double the budget for education, we are determined to double the salaries of teachers, to apply the latest technologies. The transformation of education will be based on the digital transformation of this system. The average will be removed. A student in Albania cannot pay a fee 2-3 times higher than in Austria or a student in Germany, or in France. These are absurd things. This is over, the minimum fees will be halved. The budget for education will be doubled. The minimum salary of a teacher will go to 2 thousand euros.
