In the Parliamentary Committee on Laws, the bill was discussed, " On some additions and changes to the law no. 72/2012 "On the organization and operation of the national geospatial information infrastructure in the Republic of Albania ".

It was decided by a majority of votes that ASIG, the institution responsible for geospatial information, will come under the Prime Minister.

During the discussions in the commission, the representatives of the ASIG institution said that the satellites are in use only by Albania and are used whenever we see fit.

Answering the questions of the deputies regarding the criminal events, where the police find burnt cars, but not the perpetrators, the representatives of the institution said that for the monitoring of the territory in the Republic of Albania, drones are also used.

Democratic MP Dhurata Çupi said that geospatial control is now in the hands of the Prime Minister only.

Çupi said that no guarantee was given for the control of the territory, regarding the illegal constructions, the drug plots and the movements of the gangs that are always found only in burned cars.

" We were not given any guarantee on data management, privacy risk and data accuracy. Ownership of data and licensing of entities on the use of this data. We understood that the Albania 1 and Albania 2 satellites are not owned by Albania but have been in use for 3 years. Millions of euros that go in vain for government propaganda ," said Çupi.
