The head of the Socialist Party group, Niko Peleshi, spoke to the media after the meeting with the Socialist MPs, where he was also asked about the harsh reactions of the US and EU embassies to the opposition of the decision of the Constitutional Court by the Assembly for the mandate of Olta Xhaçka.
According to Peleshi, this case has a lot of ambiguity, as he considered sending the case to the Venice Commission as right.
" There is no opposition from the Constitution. We applied it to the introduction to the plenary session and we did and immediately the decision was made to deal with it. It is true that this motion does not advance due to the vote due to ambiguity. There is ambiguity. For this, I very rightly consider the decision to take him to Venice, to receive a consultation, as appropriate. Consultation is not only a specific case, but for all decisions. I do not accept objection to the decision of the Constitutional Court. We dealt with it in the Council of Legislation. The decision says that the assembly must bring me the motion and this is true ," said Peleshi.
