Afrim Gashi, the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, delivered a speech during the panel organized within the framework of the Diaspora Summit organized in Tirana.
In his speech, he said that the elections are not the best message coming from the people. According to him, the state has failed if a young person packs up and leaves the country.
Gashi also appealed for greater responsibility from all political actors, emphasizing that no one should consider themselves amnestied.
"Elections are not the best indicator, elections are not the best message that comes to us from the people. The best message that comes to us from the people is can we stop young people from living in their own country?! Therefore, if today a young person has packed his bags and is looking for a ticket to fly to a European capital, you should know that politics and the state failed that day. None of us dares to see ourselves amnestied," said Gashi.
