Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized at the Diaspora Summit that impunity in Albania has ended, putting an end, according to him, to the time when the law only acted for the weak while the strong challenged it.
In his speech, he emphasized that impunity is now just a myth.
According to him, justice is more independent than ever, as it has not been since 1912 until the Socialist Party, according to him, with its will gave it the sword to act.
"When we first gathered, Albania was known worldwide and was branded by the EU as the homeland of impunity where the law acted only against the weak and where every strong person challenged the law. Today, impunity is a myth of the past and today Albania is the country where no one is above the law and justice is independent as it has not been since the beginning of time, from 1912 until we willingly handed over to it the sword that belongs only to its hands to do equal justice for all," said Rama.
