With the same accusations as in 2024, Sali Berisha has returned to Prime Minister Edi Rama at the start of the new year.

He sees his political opponent's war on social media not only as an act of censorship against the opposition, but also as a battle with windmills, comparing the head of government to one of Miguel Cervantes' characters.

"Dear friends, Edi Rama once again erupted in hatred against social media. He told Albanians that you don't have bread and Facebook does. That is, his problem was not that Albanians didn't have bread, the big problem was their Facebook with which they criticize him and he cannot stand this. But Edi Rama's fight with social networks is Don Quixote's fight with windmills. He will lose this battle ," Berisha said.

Earlier, Berisha also reacted to the decision made by the government regarding the closure of TikTok in our country for a year, stating that the first decision he will make after the Democrats come to power will be to open the application.

According to the opposition leader, the initiative taken by Prime Minister Rama aims to strike at free speech, as polls, he says, show an increase in the Democratic Party's audience on social networks.
