After the "burning" of the first round without candidates, Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that he does not see the will of the opposition for the election of the new President.
Speaking to the media after leaving the Assembly, Rama said that the majority does not have to give the right to the opposition to elect the President. The head of government also expressed his firmness that he does not negotiate with former Prime Minister Sali Berisha for the election of the new President.
"It is known that we do not have the 84 votes needed to pass the first, second and third round. While it does not appear to me that there is any clarity, any will on the part of other parties to be involved in the process until now.No (no name for President for second and third round).
Why should the SP give the opposition the right to make proposals for the President? To hand over the right to participate in this process and to transfer this right to whom? To whom exactly that we are no longer knowing even who we have on the other side that we have all sorts of pieces and chicks. I can not see where the logic lies in this, there is no logic. We have gone 2 times in this process when we were in opposition in my direction. Once when we had enough numbers to block 84, no matter how things went afterwards, but once when we did not have the numbers. So, PD had the numbers to elect the President and we went through this process, we sat at the table. We have said our things, we have made our effort and we have moved forward despite the fact that most of that time elected another president,
