Rama thanked Biden for his visit to Tirana, requesting the holding of the NATO Summit in Albania

Prime Minister Edi Rama and US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken

Prime Minister Edi Rama has addressed a letter of thanks to the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, for the visit on February 15 to Tirana, which according to the head of the Albanian government conveys the message of the strength of the Albania-USA alliance towards common goals.

Rama writes to Blinken that his government remains committed to supporting the rule of law in Albania as well as to the fight against corruption.

Rama also expresses the desire for Albania to become the host country of the NATO Summit in 2027, thus becoming the first country of the Western Balkans to gather the heads of the North Atlantic Alliance.
