Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, in his speech from the balcony of the apartment where he is under house arrest, addressed to sympathizers gathered on the "Street of Hope", spoke, among other things, about the people arrested during the February 20 protest.
He has warned the police that for any torture that will be done to the arrested protesters, they will face an exemplary punishment tomorrow.
Part of Berisha's speech:
The arrest of protesters on February 20, Berisha: I warn Edi Rama's phalanxes and guarantee that, for any torture you will do to the resistance fighters, you will face exemplary punishment tomorrow
Dear citizens, resisters, invincible missionaries of hope, the most heartfelt greetings, the most boundless gratitude for your battle without return, your battle towards victory.
Every hour, every day that passes proves that this battle is vital for the fate of the freedom and dignity of the Albanians.
Every hour, every day that passes becomes more severe, more oppressive, more violent for the Albanians from the narco regime of Edi Rama and his rebirth.
Dear friends!
Today the official schedule in the renaissance republic started with a political process against 4 young people, Andrea Maliaj, Klinti Toli, Bledar Tola, Ismet Stefanis, resistance fighters participating in the February 20 hurricane.
They were in the dock today because on February 20 they terrorized Edi Rama and his rebirth, terrified the power of the mafia that rules today in Albania.
But today these young people in the courtroom stood proud and proud in front of the false, shameful, fabricated, falsified accusations against them.
This scene clearly showed that the regime is deeply afraid of the opposition, that the regime has lost all hope for itself, so it uses every means against the freedoms of the citizens.
My friends!
Congratulating these young men once again today, for their manly attitude both in the black cells of the regime and in the dock, I warn Edi Rama's phalanges that the day is coming and I guarantee that for every torture you do resistance fighters, you will face exemplary punishment tomorrow.
I warn you that for every day they spend in prison for political reasons, you will be returned to years in prison as enemies of the freedom of Albanians.
