Rama rejects the opposition's claims: Waste exported, non-toxic

Prime Minister Edi Rama from the Assembly has responded to the opposition's accusations regarding the import of hazardous waste from Albania to Thailand.

He said that while the prosecution is still investigating whether those wastes are dangerous or not, the opposition has found the culprits.

"I am here to answer a request for interpellation, after a series of letters of accusations and malignant fantasy, to continue poisoning Albanians through the sewers of the digital world. The source of this late summer soap opera that appeared after the Pogradec event was a warning about a shipment of hazardous waste from Albania to Asia. The international non-governmental organization itself states that it has doubts about the possibility that a quantity of goods taken out of Albania are dangerous waste, that is, doubts, nothing proven, no proven evidence yet, but only doubts. Right from the beginning, the law enforcement agencies have considered these suspicions with due attention and the will to investigate, and while the prosecution continues today to investigate, the mouth of the politics of hate has raised charges and assigned the culprit, and the culprit is the criminals of the imaginary regime with me in charge," he said.

" Has the export of hazardous waste been carried out? According to public records in every declaration and document submitted by private individuals, it is clear that the export of the goods in question is not an export of hazardous waste.

The customs point has attached the certificate of analysis of the goods from European countries. In both cases, the export of goods, the goods declared as iron hydroxide oxides, were exported with all relevant documentation through the respective container lines. They are temporarily stored in the EU where no one has prevented them.
They were then allowed to continue the internship.
Goods with such classification are not considered hazardous waste even in European catalogs.

The allusion to inaction is at best illogical or at worst, psycho-pathological allusion," said Rama.
