Prime Minister Edi Rama, responding to speculations that the salary increase for administration employees will not come into effect within the month of April, said that this is not true.

He said that there was no postponement of the decision and that, as planned, the law on salary increases will come into effect in April.

But he added that the law is in the Assembly, where there is a debate on the increase in salaries since the deputies ask that the increase be made for them first.

"They have now come out and say that Edi Rama postponed the salary increase. I didn't push anything at all. For the first time, the salaries of doctors, teachers, and security workers have increased and they now receive their April payments at the beginning of May, as they are divided.

Second, there was a debate because for all other salary increases, the law must be made in the parliament. I have had an argument. The law is in parliament.

The salaries of the government and MPs should be increased for the last time, that is, next year when the increase ends for all the MPs and the government, let the salaries be increased", said Rama.
