"With which opposition will I hold a public debate?" This was the answer given by Prime Minister Edi Rama to a question from a commentator who asked him about a public debate with Sali Berisha, following the latter's request. In the Sy m'sy with followers section on Facebook, the head of government said that he has been holding public debates for years in full view of everyone.
"With which opposition will I have a public debate? I have been holding a public debate for years in front of everyone. Which opposition are you talking about? I don't understand this," Rama said.
Rama also responded to commentators about the remarks and epithets he has made towards the DP and Sali Berisha, repeatedly calling them swamp owls. He emphasized that he does not call his opponent a mafia member or a thief, but has his own way of challenging them.
"I don't know what bullying is. Humor is something very serious and is part of the way of communication, I don't curse, I don't bark, I don't call my opponent a mafia member, a criminal, or a thief, because these are criminal charges and are street brutality, they are not a way of communicating in public. I have my own way of not leaving opponents indifferent. Those who feel bullied by satire should calculate how someone who is constantly targeted with all the dirtiest words in Albanian and with the greatest brutality in Albanian must feel. Do the math and see how it turns out for you."
