The European Commission has reacted to Top News, following the meeting of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, where it was decided to politically defend Belinda Balluku.
"We do not comment on issues that are in process. It is up to the Albanian Parliament to consider requests for lifting the immunity of its members," the European Commission's response to Top News states.
We recall that at the meeting of the SP parliamentary group, it was decided that Balluk's mandate as an MP should not be revoked.
This, in order to avoid her arrest.
Not only that, but Prime Minister Edi Rama, after praising her work, said that Balluku will continue to be the political leader of the Fier District.
