About 100,000 people are expected in the square/ The details of the DP protest,
Sali Berisha

The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has called a protest on Saturday, February 11, which is scheduled to start at 12:00 in front of the Prime Minister's building. They have confirmed that the Freedom Party and some deputies from Enkelejd Alibeaj's group will join this protest.

Sources from the blue headquarters indicate that there are expected to be around 80-100 thousand people in the square, but this remains to be seen on the day of the protest.

The same sources confirm that there will be around 200 DP staff during the protest. The pulpit will be placed in front of the Prime Minister's Office and leaders of the Democratic Party, as well as civil society, are expected to speak.

The focus of the speeches will be on the "McGonigal" scandal, on Prime Minister Edi Rama's meetings with the arrested former FBI agent, but also on the claims that the majority is trying to leave the Democratic Party out of the municipal elections.

The Democratic Party has requested permission for an indefinite protest, but the scenario is not yet known if there will be only a few speeches and it will be closed as usual or something different will be done.
