The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, announced this Wednesday that Albania has signed an agreement with China and the United Arab Emirates so that citizens can travel there without visas.
"At the government meeting, we passed two important agreements which further increase the number of countries where Albanian citizens can travel without visas. More specifically, we have concluded agreements with the government of the People's Republic of China and the government of the United Arab Emirates. Both of these agreements will create increased convenience for Albanian citizens who wish to travel to these countries", said Xhaçka.
"From the moment the agreements come into force, they will no longer need entry visas," she added.
The minister added that efforts are being made to strengthen the Albanian passport.
"We are working very seriously to strengthen the Albanian passport as much as possible. To expand as much as possible the space where Albanian citizens can move without visas. It is a process that requires time and care, but it has begun to give concrete results".
