Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is convinced that he will compete with the logo and flag of the Democratic Party in the upcoming local elections on May 14.

In an interview for A2CNN, Berisha said that if Prime Minister Rama holds hostage the court's decision to recognize the December 11 statute, he will face consequences.

Berisha also stated that the citizens at this moment have the right to believe that Rama has ordered the former head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, that his group should boycott the local elections.

Berisha :  Albanians know that on March 25, the court decided the legitimacy of December 11. I guarantee that PD will participate in the elections, with logos and flags. If Edi Rama has decided to take him hostage, he will face all the consequences. I don't deal with anything at all, but with the fact that there is a court decision that in no country in the world prohibits registration in the register like in Albania. If others follow Rama, become co-authors in the Constitutional crime, this is not a solution that should be held by people who have the minimum of professional integrity.

We are revolution. We will do everything to ensure that our rights are respected. We demand nothing but our legal right. There is a court decision that is held hostage by Edi Rama. We have Edi Rama as the main. Those who become co-authors, I think, make the wrong choice. This is a very deep thing. Here it is requested to exclude the opposition from the elections. Edi Rama, every Albanian has the right to suspect that he ordered Lulzim Basha to boycott the local elections, because he will take 60 municipalities. We never boycott elections.
