Prime Minister Edi Rama after the meeting of the SP Presidency, has held a conference for journalists outside the headquarters.

Asked if it would be possible now to elect a joint President with Kosovo, Rama replied:

"We would have put Hashim Thaçi and he would be excellent and we would have voted for him with conviction, but unfortunately he is not present at the moment in the life of the Albanian community as a free citizen, because a process is taking place against him which… not "Let me tell you what the process is."

Meanwhile, Rama has emphasized that the new President will not be from the SP parliamentary group.

"We discussed the process of identifying the candidacy of the president or president, as the days are passing and the election process is approaching. If we had identified a person we would have made it public.

We have collected proposals and what we have said publicly and today in the meeting of the Presidency is that the candidate will not be from the parliamentary group of SP ", said Rama.
