In the meeting of the National Assembly of the official DP, the absence of the strongest ally of Lulzim Basha and the ex-executive of the head of the DP, Enkelejd Alibeaj, was noticed.

The latter has justified his absence with party commitments outside Albania. But is there another reason for Alibeaj to be absent from this very important DP activity?

According to Neës24, Enkelejd Alibeaj has stated at the PD Presidency meetings that he would support Lulzim Basha only if a provision was placed in the statute, that if the president lost the 2025 elections, he would resign.

But this has not happened, since in the statutory changes that are expected to be approved, there is no provision to force the Chairman of the DP to leave the leadership of the party if he loses the next elections. The question that is asked is: Is Enkelejd Alibeaj absent from this activity at the National Assembly because he is really abroad committed to the party, or is he angry because his request was not taken into account? It remains to be seen whether Alibeaj will violate his principles, specifically for placing the slide for the chairman's resignation, or whether he will not accept them.
