The agreement for the Port of Durrës has become a bone of contention in Albanian politics. The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has claimed that the former leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, is an accomplice in the mafia deal for the Port of Durrës.

In this regard, Basha reacted on Twitter. He says that the reason why, according to him, Berisha slanders publicly is to divert attention from the fact that he and his oligarchs are deeply involved in the Port of Durrës affair.

"The reason why non grata lies and slanders publicly is to divert attention from this fact : he and the oligarchs of his court are immersed head to toe in the affair of the Port of Durrës. And not only there .????"
