The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla, has clarified the proposals for legal changes, which affect the last case with the Authority of Files.
Balla stated that the initiatives have been filed with the aim of removing obstacles for examining the purity of the image of persons who have held very high positions until now, without mentioning names.
"A summary of all the initiatives, they are a package. At the end of July, an initiative was filed by the SP group for two changes in two laws, one on the Dossier Authority and one regarding the election law. The initiative was filed after the proposal by the Authority.
It has started to shed light on the purity of the figures, starting from the already documented case of a high-level politician who held very important positions in Albania and that new additional documents have resulted on this politician and there are some obstacles from the current law for the continuation of the examination of the purity of the picture.
In Albania, in 30 years, there have been other cases that have managed to avoid moral responsibility and not only reach the highest state hierarchy, damaging the lives of many people who have suffered the crimes of the Security, he said.
Among other things, Balla stopped at the decision of the USA and Great Britain for the former Prime Minister Berisha, who declared him the head of the PD non-grata.
"Non-grata has been taken from the US and from Britain and our goal is clear; belongs to the justice bodies. I appeal to SPAK that in the light of the accusations raised by the USA and recently from the letter that was delivered to Berisha from Great Britain, I think it is the right time and in the other case the corrupt elements and his political connections have been made public belonging to justice. This is not an issue addressed in this package. As for what I said, I still think that Berisha is a high representative of the Labor Party. Let justice begin," he asserted.
