"I am raising my glass to Albania...", Macron speaks Albanian in
Emmanuel Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron was received with honors in the first visit of a French head of state to our country. At a dinner served at the Brigade Palace by Prime Minister Edi Rama, President Macron raised a toast and spoke in Albanian.

"I am raising my glass to Albania, to the Albanian people, to the special moments that unite us, that we will build together. Long live Albania, long live Franco-Albanian friendship," Macron said in Albanian.

Among other things, he said that Albania is in the center of Europe.

"Our Europe is shocked and we are here together mentioning the attack in Brussels and it shows the evidence that you are European. There are several journeys that show the strong historical connection between the countries. The first visit by a French president since independence. It is a pleasure to be here as Prime Minister. The friendship between our two peoples is historic.

You are already in the center of Europe. Just look at your story, you have inspired this continent. This continent is a conversation that has not known how to speak properly for thousands of years. This country has succeeded. The moment that is given to us thanks to you, we can say that the Balkans is the place in the heart of Europe. Beyond that, we have excellent political relations. I want to welcome our relations," Macron said.
