The vice-president of the Democratic Party, Kreshnik Çollaku, has complained after the physical collision he had with the Democratic MP Dashnor Sula in the premises of the Assembly.
He described the collision as a shameful incident, stating that today's event shames every member of parliament.
Even in the terrible '97 I would never have imagined that I could find myself in a situation similar to what happened to me today. I participated in a meeting of the commission led by the opposition, chairwoman Jorida Tabaku, invited by the latter. I went to attend the meeting, I found myself in the hall with a surprise situation. I was faced with an event which embarrasses me as a citizen of this country, as a member of the DP, as a deputy. In an incomprehensible verbal attack that then ended in physical blows, a former colleague of mine staged a scene that puts every member of this parliament to shame. I understand that there is a will to silence the opposition, there is an alliance to remain silent, as happened in the session on the Kosovo resolution. My concern is how parliamentary life can degrade to this level. Everyone should feel insulted by this scene, as a result of which I fell victim, " Çollaku said, among other things.
