After the dismissal of Arben Ahmetaj, Rama passes the 'reconstruction'

With the changes in the government, the Minister of Infrastructure Belinda Balluku took the post as deputy prime minister, instead of Arben Ahmetaj, who was dismissed by Prime Minister Rama on July 25 of this year.

As a result, some state responsibilities formerly held by Ahmetaj have been transferred to the Ministry of Infrastructure, a decision taken by the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the Prime Minister.

The decision states that the activity of the Ministry of Infrastructure is responsible for the reconstruction of buildings damaged by the earthquake of November 25, 2019.

We remind you that in addition to the post of Deputy Prime Minister, Arben Ahmetaj also held the post of Minister for Reconstruction, a post which remained vacant after his dismissal. As a result, it passed to the Ministry of Infrastructure.

On July 26, Prime Minister Rama signed the proposals for some changes in the government cabinet.

Arben Ahmetaj will no longer be deputy. Prime Minister, and his place as the number two of the Government was taken by Belinda Balluku, who will also hold the current position of Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.

While the Ministry of State for Reconstruction, for the head of the government, has fulfilled the mission, thanks to Ahmetaj's contribution.

Rama said that the energy crisis as well as the integration of the country towards the European Union are already the two priorities of the government, for which the changes in the government cabinet have also been made.
