In the region of Shkodra, three fire stations are currently active, specifically in Bardhaj, Bërdica and Velipoja. The most serious situation continues to be in the village of Berdica, where several houses have also been engulfed in flames.

The democratic head of the Municipality, Bardh Spahia, and the socialist Prefect of the District, Majlinda Agoni, have come to the field to see the situation of the fires, and this has led to a clash between them.

Angoni has stated that there is still no need for intervention from the air, while Spahia says that where it is impossible for firefighters to intervene, helicopters must come to put out the flames.

"We are in a critical situation. 60 army forces on the ground. Very difficult intervention in Vilëz due to the terrain. Priority is the lives of people and their homes. Better coordination of Shkodër Municipality is needed, especially in Vilëz. Talk about manageable situations, no time for helicopters. We have to file complaints for every suspicious case, we need solidarity in this situation" , said Angoni.

"We are faced with a difficult situation with several fires at the same time. Thanks to the work of firefighters, these situations have been controlled. Air assets are needed where intervention is impossible. The government should have been present" , said Spahia.
