The deputy of the Democratic Party, Kreshnik Çollaku, calls on his colleagues from the Reestablishment group to unite for the May 14 elections by coming up with common candidates.
In an interview for "Panorama TV", Çollaku says that there is nothing wrong if the "Primary" candidates compete under the official DP logo.
The democratic deputy proposes that after the end of the local elections, the two PD groups organize another Assembly for the election of the structures of the democrats.
Question : Were there previous negotiations between Bardhi and Paloka?
Çollaku : I was aware that there were negotiations. It was the same desire. At that time, the context was still unresolved. The official legitimacy is the statute of December 18. This does not prevent us that even that kind of spirit to go out together can be produced. If in the first case, that agreement was broken, when Berisha had as a condition the recognition of the Reestablishment statute, we do not have this case. Today we cannot decide on the statute. Today this problem has fallen. Nothing gets in the way. Statutes are not written in stone. Another Assembly may be convened to determine the structures.
These talks were interrupted two months ago. I don't know if they negotiated until a week ago. The proposal is this, to unite with one candidate, all to run under the PD logo. Where there were problems within the Primaries, they should be resolved by consensus. Then for the problems within the DP, let's organize another congress to choose the new joint structures, with the lists.
We recall that earlier, the same proposal was also made by MP Dashnor Sula. In his reaction, he said that the candidates from the Berisha primaries should be registered at the CEC for the May 14 elections, only with the DP logo, with a name change where it is considered better.
He further proposes that after this decision has been taken, after the elections on May 14, the PD will enter into elections and internal structuring, choosing from the simplest functionaries, to the heads of sections and group sections, the heads of branches, up to to the new chairman of the DP.
