The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party is expected to protest today in Strasbourg on some issues related to the government which is accused of legal violations.
Most of the deputies will travel today to Strasbourg to protest in front of the European Parliament, on the same day when the EP meets in plenary session.
DP MPs are expected to be divided into two groups. A group of 5 or 6 MPs will enter the EP to hold briefing meetings with MEPs to inform them about the situation in Albania and the legal and constitutional violations committed by Prime Minister Edi Rama's government.
The imprisonment of Salianji, the non-voting of the SP for the decision of the GJK, the government's links with crime, corruption are some of the issues discussed in the focus of the meetings.
Likewise, apart from this group, the rest of the deputies unfurled banners in front of the European Parliament and protested for a certain time to draw the attention of the Europeans to the situation in Albania, which they consider the birth of a dictatorial regime.
On Tuesday, the Parliamentary group of the Democratic Party started the official visit to the European Parliament.
MPs Gazment Bardhi, Flamur Noka, Jorida Tabaku, Agron Gjekmarkaj and Albana Vokshi met with MEPs Sandro Gozi and Oihane Agirregoitia Martínez, representatives of the "Renew Europe" parliamentary group.
The news was announced by the chairman of the DP parliamentary group Gazment Bardhi, through an announcement on social networks, where, among other things, he wrote that "it is unimaginable for any European friend of Albania to perceive that our country, even though it is a candidate country for the EU, executed the rule of law, destroyed the balance between powers, and eliminated free elections".
