The opposition blocks the podium, Peleshi interrupts the session for the fourth

The Assembly is not finding peace in today's plenary session, which since 10:00 am has been accompanied by accusations, strong debates, and repeated interruptions through the opposition blocking the rostrum.

While there are 21 items on the agenda, the parliament is still on the third item, as the 'apple of contention' is precisely the opposition's request to change it, while Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha was supposed to speak about the eighth Albania-EU intergovernmental conference, regarding the country's integration process.

After tensions returned, Speaker Peleshi was forced to interrupt the session for the fourth time and call the leaders of the parliamentary groups to a declared 15-minute break to resolve the created impasse.

As the deputies returned from the third recess, the situation returned to square one.

DP deputies 'occupied' the podium and demanded a change to the agenda, as they want to talk about the protest that has been going on in the square for 18 days by citizens.
