'There is no more place for Meta', the journalist: Berisha and Basha

" We no longer have room for Meta ", one of the foreign embassies replied to the journalist Adriatik Doçi, who asked to submit a file for the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta. The journalist writes that the representatives of the embassy complained to me that there are many files for Ilir metas, which we have decided to put in the cellars, windows and corridors. 

Doçi adds that the largest number of files for Ilir Meta were referred to the embassy by the president of the DP, Sali Berisha during the years 2000-2009 and 2013-2015, as well as Lulzim Basha during the years 2015-2021. According to the journalist, the number of files reaches up to 50.

A few days ago I went to send a corruption file on Ilir Meta to an important embassy in Tirana. I was a little surprised when they 'complained' to me that they no longer had room to organize Ilir Meta's voluminous files. They had begun to place them in pantries, windows and corridors.

'It's time to introduce a file for Ilir Meta to occupy a privileged place in the embassies,' I thought to myself.

In a confidential way, I later learned that the largest number of files for Ilir Meta had been handled in the embassy by Sali Brisha during the years 2000-2009 and 2013-2015, as well as Lulzim Basha during the years 2015-2021. The number was about 50.

About 20 files have been referred by Edi Rama, while another 30 files have been referred in recent years until September 2022 by various actors, mainly for corruption, money laundering, concealment of wealth, abuse of office and use of power in all forms for family interests.
