Sali Berisha has arrived at the Assembly, on the day when the Parliament is expected to vote on the removal of his immunity, after the approval he received in the Council of Mandates on Monday.
Meanwhile, the opposition has warned of a protest that, according to the democrats, is a continuation of civil disobedience in Parliament.
The capital's police have taken measures to maintain order and security during the democrats' protest. Since the early hours of the morning, cars and additional police forces have been stationed at the entrance to the Parliament building.
A day ago, the Constitutional Court rejected the request of the democratic deputies for the interpretation of the constitutional article for the removal of immunity, thus opening the way for the Assembly to remove the mandate.
Afterwards, it will be the Special Prosecutor's Office that will decide what coercive measure will be requested for Sali Berisha.
