The next stop of the head of OSCE-ODHIR, Audrey Glover, within the local elections of May 14, was at the headquarters of the Socialist Party.

She held a meeting with the General Secretary of the SP, Damian Gjiknur. Earlier, Glover met with President Begaj, Prime Minister Rama and representatives of opposition parties, including former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

After the end of the meeting, Gjiknuri, in a statement to the media, ironized the battle between the opposition, where the "Together We Win" coalition wants Sali Berisha's name to be placed on the ballot, while KAS and Alibeaj's PD wants Ilir's name to be placed on the ballot. Flaws.

"The DP has complained.  I don't understand why they hide the names, when the marriage is public? Does the partner hide the partner? I don't understand this, I don't know the political side of this, but I believe they should be proud of Ilir's name Flaws on the ballot paper. I don't know why these speakers were upset. Regarding the meeting with Glover Gjiknuri said that the head of OSCE-ODIHR did not have any special message for the majority .

"They are interested in the follow-up and progress of the election campaign. It was a mission of obtaining opinions regarding issues that they consider important for the campaign related to financing, peace, the progress of the campaign, the parties' access to the Albanian legal system, access in the media. There was no special message, they are interested in hearing all the views of the parties on the progress of the election campaign".

Gjiknuri further added that Glover has positive preliminary opinions.

"They didn't present any concerns. The campaign was calm in general. We had questions about the decision-making of the CEC, the list of voters. But the list of voters is a methodology agreed by the CEC, made by the CEC with the agreement of all political parties not to families were separated and to have the voters in one building".

Gjiknuri nuk preferoi të japë një koment lidhur me takimin e Glover me Berishën por konfirmoi se është fakt që ai garon në këto zgjedhje.

"Se komentoj fare, nuk më intereson. Ata janë këtu për të biseduar më të gjithë palët që garojnë, e dimë që Meta dhe Berisha garojnë së bashku, nuk e mohojmë. Martesa e tyre është martesa e re me personazhe të vjetra që po u del shqiptarëve si ofertë politike. Janë ata që vendosin por besoj se shqiptarët e kanë bërë zgjedhjen e tyre tashmë".

Pastërtia e figurës së kandidatëve ka qenë një nga shqetësimet e ODIHR. Qerim Ismailaj i PS-së është kontestuar nga PD, por Gjiknuri tha se Glover nuk e preku këtë temë në takim.

"Nuk e preku këtë temë dhe kjo temë është nën shqyrtim të organeve ligjore shqiptare, ligji është në veprim. Palët ankohen, organet japin vendimet e tyre".

There was also a comment about the criminal events at the start of the campaign, the explosion in Vaun e Deja and the murder in Shengjin.

"I don't know that these are politically motivated or related to politics. It would be speculation to give political labels to criminal events. We hope that the events will be clarified to remove any speculation of this nature. "
