Prime Minister Edi Rama announced during today's parliamentary session that he will deliver a speech to the Israeli parliament, or Knesset, next week.

He said that this is an honor reserved for him and will be carried out in the same format as the one held by US President Donald Trump a short time ago.

"I want to inform you that next Monday I will have another extraordinary honor: I will address the Knesset, the parliament of Israel as the Prime Minister of Albania, but without their permission in the same format that was reserved some time ago for the President of the United States, as well as a very limited number of foreign leaders in the history of that assembly, whose names can be easily found, but they give a very special dimension to the privilege that has been given to me and this governing majority that is supported by the overwhelming majority of Albanians to speak in that Assembly," said Rama.

Meanwhile, he ironized the DP deputies in his speech in the parliament this Thursday by saying that the non grata status for Sali Berisha will be lifted in March 2025.

"Don't neglect that non-women's work for me, because just as you have all the words, you will also come up with the word non-women. Edi Rama's dilemma is that for the Albanian parliament there is only one quota for non-women and it was taken on merit. The one who got the non-women's has deserved it in the most convincing way. You will get the word that the non grata will be removed in March 2025. Despite the fact that we are in 2026, it will be removed in March 2025. The one who got that quota is unattainable in all the treachery he has done to the Albanian people and so that quota is hardly moving."
