Prime Minister Edi Rama at the Bled Forum, Slovenia

Prime Minister Edi Rama met today with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty to discuss developments in the Middle East and the Balkans.

"They stressed the importance of reaching peaceful solutions to ongoing conflicts to preserve the unity and stability of states and achieve security and development for their peoples," the Egyptian authorities announced.

The meeting took place within the framework of the 20th Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia.

"Regarding bilateral relations, Abdelatty underlined the need to build on the progress made in recent years to strengthen economic, trade and investment ties, serving the interests of the Egyptian and Albanian peoples.

"Both sides affirmed their willingness to continue consultations and coordination on issues of mutual interest and to strengthen cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels," the statement further states.
