Prime Minister Edi Rama participates in the 20th edition of the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia, in the discussion on the role of states and the future of the European Union.
Albania is loyal to the European Union, Rama said, while emphasizing that our country has never wavered in its desire to become part of the Union.
"When it comes to us and me, who represent my country, it's quite different because if the Slovenian prime minister were to say what he thought about Brussels, then if he says it he has a lot to lose, we don't. We have to be very open and on the other hand, beyond what we say and express, our loyalty is never in doubt. As Europeans, we want to be free and freely express what we think, but when it comes to following Europe, we are truly loyal followers, our foreign policy is 10% harmonized with the EU's foreign policy. We have neither wavered nor have we ever questioned it, because when it comes to loyalty we are somewhat blind and when we say we are with you, we are with you until the end", said Rama.
The head of government said that Marta Kos wants our country in the EU, while emphasizing that she hopes that the allied countries will also have the same agreement.
