Albin Kurti has given a statement to the media after the interruption of the session in the Kosovo Assembly, which was accompanied by tensions and he was hit with eggs.

Kurti has stated that he does not want another round of elections, calling on the parties to meet and reach an agreement.

According to Kurti, repeating the elections has no value for either the people or the state budget.

" The chairman has called for the continuation of the session and I have responded. Even when he calls us again, I will respond."

First, I did not ask for us to vote for our own president. We do not insist that Konjufca be president. On the contrary, he withdrew his candidacy to give another candidate from the people a chance.

We are saying to find someone inclusive for president. I am ready and interested in meetings and conversations that bring about an agreement an hour or more ago. We do not have intermediaries in communication.

We need meetings, agreements, so that when we come back here in a few months, we don't come to a session to elect the president, where the two columns of other deputies are empty.

We must avoid new elections. I am seeking a political agreement for a president in two months. After 60 days we have a president, what do we do?

It is now known that with the same method we cannot expect different results. I call on the parties to meet and come to an agreement, because it is not worth repeating the elections, neither for the budget, nor for the state, nor for the people.

"What's the point of repeating the elections when the program and the people are the same? We have time, but we must make the most of it ," Kurti said.
