Prime Minister Edi Rama received in his office at the Prime Minister General Bajram Begaj, the candidate for President of the Republic.

Rama shared the meeting with Begaj on Facebook, while addressing the general, saying "welcome, Mr. President".

Rama told Begaj that during today's discussions at the meeting of the SP Presidency, it was agreed that his candidacy was appropriate for the post of President of the Republic

"This is the system we have," he said. It is impossible to build a process where people can get acquainted in advance with the opportunity to be elected. Today we had a full discussion on many candidacies and in the end we agreed that you are the right candidacy to normalize and recivilize the office of the institution of the President of the Republic. "Thank you for not refusing to accept", said Rama.

While, Begaj expressed his gratitude and stated that he will stay at the right height that this post requires.

"Thank you, Prime Minister. It is a great honor to be the President of a country. "I will try to be the right person for what this post represents," he said.
