The former president Ilir Meta has reacted from prison for eating the group-chapters of Albania for membership in the EU. In a post on Facebook, the PL president accuses Rama of blocking the country's European integration for a decade, while other countries in the region are at a more advanced stage.

"Prime Minister Rama's false exaltation of the group-chapters, after he blocked the country's European integration for a decade, is indicative of his hypocrisy and irresponsibility and the "Rilindja" gang for this process that should have been concluded long ago. Albania signed the Stabilization and Association Agreement in 2006, before Montenegro, Serbia and other countries, which signed it years later. Meanwhile, they opened negotiations in 2012 and 2014 and are at a much more advanced stage, even though they had problems with International Courts and inter-ethnic conflicts".

While the EU progress report evaluated SPAK, Meta emphasizes that Albania's only problem is the capture of the state and justice by the mafia.

"While Albania has had and has only one problem, the capture of the state by the mafia and especially the capture of justice, which from a reform with 140 votes, ended with 69 votes and oaths of judges at the notary in Lana. Therefore, justice indices are blacker than communist Vietnam or Lukashenko's Belarus. This development, although very late, is only for geopolitical reasons and it cannot continue any longer".

According to him, Rama's promise that the negotiations will be closed within three years is like the promise of fake health or drinking water before coming to power.

"While the solemn promise that the negotiations will be closed within three years is as fixed as the promise made before the coming to power of "Rilindah" for "free healthcare" or the promise that within one term the problem of drinking water would be solved in the whole country".

He emphasizes that "the battle of the Freedom Party and the real opposition against the capture of the state and the restoration of accountability will also unlock the process of European integration".
