With Sali Berisha or Enkelejd Alibeaj? Ori Nebijaj, the deputy who became part of the Assembly after taking advantage of the mandate from the resignation of Grida Duma, says in an interview for Report TV that she does not see herself as part of any group but as part of the Democratic Party.

Sali describes Berisha as a historical leader of the Democratic Party while showing that he also respects the parliamentary group represented by Enkelejd Alibeaj. He also had a comment about the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Party, which divided the Democrats.

"There is no democrat who likes this moment when the 32nd anniversary of the establishment finds PD in 2 parties. I have all my colleagues, I have shared difficult moments with them and in such a long and difficult opposition, a celebration like the 32nd anniversary should have been celebrated together. It is not appropriate to look back and see ourselves divided. I don't want to see myself as part of any group, but as part of PD. I will be in parliament as a rightist representing the right. I am there for the citizens", said Nebijaj.

Asked who is the head of the DP, Nebijaj said that he will wait for the court's decision and chose not to comment. However, it emphasizes the only mission of the opposition to bring the best for Albanians.

"Berisha will always be at the head of PD, he is a historical leader, despite the fact that we look to the future. I have respect for the parliamentary group represented by Alibeaj and for those who support Berisha. I am bound to give the law its due. The only common challenge of the great opposition is to become the best for Albanians. I believe that the coming year will find the opposition with a lot of work built

As for the oath in parliament, Nebijaj says that there was no shortage of emotions, although he was welcomed with kisses and hugs by the democrats.

“Më zunë emocionet teksa shkoja në parlament për sfidën e madhe që më pret. Në sallë u ndjeva më komode se më mirëpritën”, tha Nebijaj.

Po ashtu e cilëson shumë të vështirë vendimin për të pranuar mandatin duke qenë se kandidoi për deputete në një kohë kur PD nuk ishte e përçarë.

“Ajo që më ka bërë përshtypje ishte se siç e përjetoja unë, e përjetonte shumë kush. Me persona që kam folur edhe në rrjete sociale më kanë thënë mendoje me kujdes se situata politike nuk është njësoj si atëherë kur vendosa të marr pjesë në zgjedhje. Ishte vendim i vështirë se shoh misionin dhe dëshirën për të bërë maksimumin”, tha Nebiaj.
