DP leader Sali Berisha has reacted to the decision taken by the Council of Ministers to close the TikTok application for 12 months.

"Today, at the height of the electoral campaign, Albania's drug lord, Toto Rino or El Chapo, announced the decision of his drug government to ban TikTok for 12 months. With this act of censorship of over 1 million TikTok users in Albania, Edi Rama ranks Albania with Afghanistan and Iran. This act of censorship is a genuine act of fanaticism, intolerance, fear and terror of free thought and its expression. TikTok is a communication platform, which today has the massive approval of young people in Albania and the world," said Berisha.
