Democratic Party councilor Ilda Zhulali spoke at the Tirana Municipal Council meeting where the dismissal of Erion Veliaj is being discussed. Zhulali said it was the socialists who did not allow Veliaj to participate in the meeting.

According to her, the decision to dismiss him is incomplete, as according to her, Veliaj should have been dismissed for "abuse of office" a long time ago.

The Council Chairwoman, Megi Fino, interrupted him, saying that he was out of the building.

"Erion Veliaj tasted the dish he cooked himself today. He should have been here today, but you didn't allow him. If he sees us from prison, we salute him. The decision you have brought is incomplete, as he should have been dismissed for serious misconduct. For the remains, for the "5D" file, it's not enough for you that there are millions of euros stolen.
