French President Emmanuel Macron

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, will arrive this afternoon in Tirana, to join the work at the Berlin Process summit.

Macron could not be present since this morning when the leaders of the Western Balkans, the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen were received by the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The reason is that during this time, Macron was holding a meeting with security chiefs in France, following the growing alarm about the risk of terrorist attacks fueled by the Israel-Hamas conflict.

After arriving in Tirana today, Macron will be welcomed by President Bajram Begaj.

Below is the agenda of the visit to the Presidency:

8:25 - Arrival of the President of the French Republic at the Institution of the President of the Republic.

The President of the French Republic will be received by the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj.

- The French national anthem is performed;

- The Albanian national anthem is interpreted;

- Passing in front of the bodyguard of honor is performed;  

-The two heads of state present their respective teams.

The President of the Republic of France is invited to sign the guest book.

The official photo will be taken in the "Mother Teresa" lobby.

08:35 – 09:05 - Face-to-face meeting between the two presidents.
